The climate of Haridwar is moderate as compared to other religious cities in India. The maximum temperature is 410 c during summer days though Kanwar Mela(special pilgrimage) occurs in the month of July every year and the temperature gets a bit calm for the pilgrims owing to the rainy season.
It is not very cold in winters in Haridwar. The average temperature is recorded 300 c and minimum 60 c during nights. Foggy days are not seen often in winters in this city and it makes Haridwar’s climate sunny and pleasing.
Since Haridwar is a religious city; it welcomes its guests to celebrate the holy festivals throughout the year yet the best season to visit this pious city is October to April.
